Elderly desert prospector Joshua Webb has been told by his doctor to stay out of the desert for his health. 120 degree temperature, scortching winds, and blazing sun are hard enough on a young man, but Joshua is as old as Stumpy. He has been prospecting for more than 30 years and only struck gold four times and in small pockets, but the lure of striking it rich keeps him in the desert alone.
