Bill thinks that orphan Jerry Quinn would be a good fit for young couple Fred and Ruth who lost their son just a few months before. Ruth is still grieving and doesn't want another child so soon.

Jerry has issues of his own. He keeps getting into trouble as a way of dealing with the stress he is feeling.

Can Bill help these lonely, grieving people become a family?

Contrary to my post earlier this year, I am pleased to report that RANGER BILL is still aired daily on the Fundamental Network at 5:05pm.

Henry is having trouble memorizing dates and places for history class. Stumpy tells Henry to put himself into the history he is studying. Henry dreams he is part of a wagon train on the Oregon Trail in the 1840s approaching an unnamed river. Hostile Indians are waiting to ambush the pioneers at the river.

Moody Ends RANGER BILL Broadcasts

 My friends and fellow Ranger Bill fans, I am very, very sorry to tell you that as far as I can tell all broadcasts of Ranger Bill have ended. I heard no broadcasts yesterday, Jan. 9, 2021. It is my assumption that the board of directors and or the president of Moody have finally succeeded in ending all broadcasts after just over 70 years on the air.

I intend to continue this Ranger Bill group. I will share with you a show title and story description each day as I have been doing. I will not be sharing links to any RB archives. If you need CDs or mp3s of the day's story, please message me or send me an email to: rangerbillclub@aol.com.

Pete Granville has spent his whole life collecting relics from the Civil War. Pete has sacrificed for years to buy those relics. He even dreamed of turning his home into a museum. But today Pete put up a sign – “Junk for Sale.” Stumpy is determined to help his old friend turn his collection into a working museum.

Pete's Civil War first aired Oct. 11, 1961. This episode opens with the second of two openings used on the show. This opening was first used in the Fall of 1959, according to my records.
