Storm Point is a small village in the Dexter Mountains. Most of the year ice, snow and cold isolate Storm Point from the rest of the world. The town's doctor is Bruce Hummer, who has traveled to Knotty Pine for medical suplies before early winter weather snows the town in. An unknown illness is afflicting the town while Dr. Bruce is away. The town is desperate for the dotor to return.
