Marvin Meerkat stops for a visit with Uncle Bob Devine. Meerkats are small members of the mongoose family that live in southern Africa. Meerkats are wild animals that don.t ever become tame around people. They can be adjusted to zoo life and can live roughly 12 to 14 years. Meerkats live in underground tunnels in family groups of 20 or so.
