RB-015 The Hunted

Bill and the boys go on a skiing camp-out. They hear the sound of an unknown and unwanted big cat They did not see and can't find this "kitty." It's tracks are bigger than cougar tracks, which worries Bill. This mysterious visitor is constantly on the move. It soon finds the herds of local ranches and raids them. Ranchers are angry and want this hunter hunted. Bill is going to need the help of everyone in and around Knotty Pine to find and catch this killer.

RB-014 Disaster Alert

A gas station's storage tanks leak gasoline into the basement of the Knotty Pine Bank next door and into the sewers. The slightest spark anywhere nearby could blow up most of Knotty Pine and kill and injure a large number of citizens. Ranger Bill must figure out how to empty the rest of the fuel still in the tanks - SAFELY. The bank's basement must be drained of gasoline and made safe for people to enter. Water must be pumped in to flush away all traces of fuel. Bill must deal with all the different ways people find to nearly blow the town off the map. Also the bank manager gets the bad news that the bank will be permanently closed if it can't open for business right away.

Knotty Pine Ranger Headquarters News Note

Chief Ranger Bill Jefferson will be out of town for the next week to ten days. Ranger Bill will be attending an NPS forestry management conference being held in Washington, D.C. during this time. He will be leaving this Friday, Feb. 13, flying out of Central City.
Rangers Stumpy Jenkins and Gray Wolf will also be leaving this weekend to attend another park ranger conference, this time in Missoula, MT. The two rangers will be leading several training sessions on tracking, with an emphasis on tracking missing and/or lost hikers and climbers. Rangers Jenkins and Gray Wolf are considered two of the best trackers in the western region on the Untied States. The pair will be gone for two weeks, also beginning Friday.
In the absence of Chief Ranger Jefferson, as well as senior rangers Jenkins and Gray Wolf, ranger Ralph Dawson, with assistance from Henry Scott, will direct activities in Big Pine National Forest until Ranger Bill returns from Washington.

Knotty Pine Gazette - Tri-County Bank Robberies

At least three banks in the tri-county have been robbed in as many weeks by what appears to be the same well armed gang of about four masked men. The bank are in Central City, Junction City, and Canyon City. The men appear to have studied each bank and community well.
The gang goes into a bank with masks and guns, gives a teller a note with a demand for money, disables the alarms, and gets quickly out of town. They manage to change vehicles shortly after leaving the bank. The robbery vehicles have all been stolen cars. So far no evidence has been found to help identify the robbers.
Anyone in the Canyon-Pine-Plain Counties area should be on the alert for these men. Anyone with information on these robberies is asked to call their local police or state police office.

RB-013 The Man Who Couldn't Remember

A man who looks like a hobo tries to find food and shelter in a hobo jungle. The hobos fear this stranger and put him on a freight train. Other hobos dump the injured and confused man off the train near Knotty Pine. The stranger finds shelter by breaking into a locked ranger shack. Bill and the fellas discover the shack broken into and the stranger singing hymns! The man can't remember anything including his own name. Who is this stranger? Why does he sing hymns? Can Bill help this man get his life and memory back?
